The Monster called Meltdown

Updated: Oct 21, 2020

It’s hard to see it coming

The signs aren’t always easy to see

It doesn’t grace us with a warning

But it’s here and you are no longer free

The meltdown hits you hard

You scream and spit and cry

These feelings you have are immense

But you can’t explain why

Confusion flows across your face

You slap your head; turn down your ears

These emotions are overwhelming

You’re feeling many things; especially fear

I know this time will pass

The monster will eventually leave

You’re attention turns to something else

And once again you are free
