Perception vs. Reality

What they see is their perception That perception becomes their reality That perception isn’t always true And it certainly isn’t always fair

What they see can be puzzling Their ‘perception’ isn’t reality They may lack understanding We need to provide clarity

A person with Autism could be having a hard time Is it lights, temperature or sound? They don’t know how to handle these feelings They may throw themselves on the ground

Reality is that it’s ‘Autism’ And it shows it’s face in many ways People’s understanding is key To allow Autism to just be
