In your sleep

Updated: Oct 27, 2019

In your sleep you’re different You squeeze and hold my hand When you’re awake it’s something else Like you’re in a different land

You sleep so peaceful beside me You put your head next to mine Fast asleep you cuddle up to me Having this connection is just divine

For when you wake in the morning The connection I know disappears I wish I had this night and day I search for it through tears

I treasure the moments we have Although you are fast asleep Cuddling with my boy You sure make my heart leap
