Sometimes you’re quiet Sometimes you’re loud Sometimes you talk to me Sometimes you don’t make a sound

I ask you questions about your day Waiting; hoping for a reply Wanting you to talk to me But all I get is a sigh

Sometimes you will talk to me But your answers are always the same Generic and non specific It’s like you’re playing a game

Oh how I want you to tell me Talk to me about your day Who did you play with; laugh with? I want to know you’re ok....
